Participated in a sport carnival organized by Non-Government Organization (NGO)

As far as I know, The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which started a global effort in 2000 to tackle the indignity of poverty. After I learn this course, I have some perspective that Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) only focus on biggest issue. Surprisingly after I experience by myself it helps to open our mind that Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can help to ensure a human well-being in our society. The most difficult part in creating sustainable development among our community is to ensure our people living in a good and healthy. Young generation are the main focused on build this sustainable development. In my point of view, the effective way to develop human well-being by encourages them to participate in sports.

A few years ago, our world struggling in facing a very serious health issues which is Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Most people are trapped in this scenario of covid-19 where they lost their job and couldn’t work as usual. This kind of problem indirectly lead to some idea that there’s nothing more awful issues than having a financial problem. People are started to neglect other thing especially their health problem. Before this, I took the opportunity to participate in sports carnival such as Table Tennis. This program enlarges the benefits of joining the sport without putting a gap by a gender and emphasize the opportunity for all to take a part in sport. In this kind of program could support sustainable development among new generation without having gender discrimination in line with the objectives of creating our community with a good health level.

In this program, I was assigned to arrange the event to make sure this program running smoothly, at the same time I also spread this detail of event using social media such as Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook. At first, we are having a difficult time due to lack of participation. But ,we are not giving up and trying in another way which is spreading the pamphlet and also spend a little amount of money to settle down with television station. As a result, the participation increase dramatically and give some good response towards this event. This program successfully as it supposed to be and reach our objective to open up new generation mind and change their perspective about health issue as well. From this event, we received a lot of positive feedback from participant that day really appreciate our hard work toward the society.

Last but not least, through this carnival I realized that this kind of method is the best way to improve the global health statistic related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 3 good health and well-being and number 5 gender equality. Arabic proverb once said: “healthy mind is from a healthy body”. In Hadith, Ibn Abbas has said that Nabi Muhammad SAW once said: “Two pleasures that are often forgotten by most people are health and leisure” (Riwayat al-Bukhari). Other than that, Anne Wilson Schaef  an American clinical psychologist and author once said: “Good health is not something we can buy. In fact, something that can be very valuable savings”. This program taught me to be more concern and sensitive person to the issues faced by our community to live a better life.
